Violence Against Children--Philippine Report

This report consists of sections which include: an introductory background on violence against children classified by location; the legal framework of children's rights; policies and programs implemented in the Philippines, which also has in table format, budget allowances from various grants and loans; advocacy and training for social workers and caregivers; researches and various studies involving issues on violence against children; institutional frameworks, including government, civil society and the media discussing their roles in addressing this particular issue; monitoring studies and groups involved; and challenges facing the Philippines in dealing with violence against children. All these combine to form a comprehensive report in describing the state of the violence against children in the Philippine setting. Tabular data as well as statistics based on surveys are mentioned in the report to provide an ample background of the issue.
